Sideburn magazine‘s issue 5 is out now for those of you interested in dirt track racing, or those of you interested in magenta foil-embossed matt laminate stock.  Either way, you won’t go unsatisfied with a copy of this little publication in your hands.  Turn to page 14 for some hand lettering by me, and there is some more on page 86.  Here are the photos of the articles: Gold Star and Iron Maiden.

The lettering is done by hand, then scanned and cleaned up in photoshop and finally converted into vector shapes in Illustrator.  I was briefed seperately for each article with examples of other work of mine.  For the Gold Star article, my Thanks Ever So Much card was referenced and for the Iron Maiden the art director was after something similar to the logo I created for K Interiors.
