Out of the blue I received an email from the designer at Sideburn Magazine, for whom I have done work in the past.  The subject line read “How are you at drawing turds?”… if there ever was a subject line to get me to read an email this would be it!  He wanted some hand lettering for the title of an article as well as a few stinky steamers to be used on the spread.  After googling ‘turd’ and silently gagging in my studio whilst gathering source material for my drawings, I provided him with a selection of Nicola Rowlands style poo-poos to choose from.

The article is about a Honda FT6000 project- the polished turd- which happens to adorn the cover of Sideburn 6.  You’ll have to get yourself a copy if you want to read more.
